Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Co-Parenting processes the data needed to provide organizational tools for families and co-parents. The service is operated by Aldebaran Apps, which can be contacted at aldebaran.apps@gmail.com.

Data we process

How and why we use data

We use data to sync information among authorized family members, send requested notifications, attach content, manage Premium access, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure. This processing is necessary to provide the requested service. Notifications and access to photos, the camera, or calendars require device permission and can be revoked in device settings.

Sharing and service providers

Family data is visible only to invited members according to their roles. Co-Parenting uses Google Firebase for authentication, databases, storage, functions, and notifications; RevenueCat to manage purchases and subscription status; and Apple for purchases, Sign in with Apple, notifications, and device services. These providers may process technical data under their own policies and terms.

Calendar, photos, and notifications

Calendar syncing occurs only when initiated by the user. Co-Parenting accesses only the photos selected or captured for receipts and notes. Notification preferences can be changed by category in the app.

Retention and security

Data is retained while the account or family remains active and only as long as necessary for security, tax obligations, or disputes. An account deletion request can be started in Account & Security and is completed after a 30-day cancellation period. Access rules are based on family membership and assigned roles. No system is risk-free, so avoid entering information that is not necessary.

Children

Co-Parenting is intended for adults who organize care for children, not for independent use by children. Parents should enter only appropriate and necessary data and must ensure they have the authority to share it with other invited members.

Your rights and deletion

You may request access, correction, or export by emailing aldebaran.apps@gmail.com. You can schedule account deletion directly in the app under Settings, Account & Security. The request can be canceled for 30 days; after that period, the authentication account, personal profile, device tokens, and RevenueCat customer record are removed. If the account is the only member of a family space, that family space and its uploaded files are also removed. Records shared with other family members may remain available to them, but the deleted account is removed from family membership. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription, which must be managed separately in Apple subscription settings.

Co-Parenting is an organizational tool. It does not provide medical or legal advice and does not replace official agreements or court orders.
